Need for Catalysts

Introduction

We are living in a time of unprecedented challenges, in a world that is increasingly becoming joined-up neighbourhoods.

Various governments and institutions are re-connecting to social justice and economic development. The United Nations has called for Millennium Development Goals.

Every economy, industry, and society is seeking for a workforce who can deliver at highly skilled levels.

The human is a vocational being, and the human dignity is tied to a vocation or an employment.

There is an unlimited universe to explore and find avenues to fulfilling vocation and employment.

Creative Response

The Institute for Community and Development Studies Association is providing assessment for individuals' acquired learning with the view of providing the individuals with a certificate in development practice.

The broad aim is to enable a candidate to make recognizable development contributions at highly skilled levels in an economy, industry or society.

The Institute is currently offering

  • Creative Field Work (including Pioneering Work and Innovation)
  • Field Work Management
  • Project Development
  • Integrated Field Development
  • Resource Mobilisation
  • Applied Research or Applied Studies, and
  • Collaboration
The processes involve
  • assessing a candidate's current skills
  • refining a life ambition and/or a career goal
  • drawing from a development practice, and
  • correlating the above to design and execute an individually tailored professional up-grading exercise.

The processes are conducted under the Institute's continuous professional development programme.

Interested candidates are expected to complete an application form, as a first step.
