Working within the Millennium Development Goal

In a global development context, our work will help towards the achievement of the following Millennium Development Goals of the UN. The particular goals we are connected are those that aim to establish between 2015 and 2020. They include the following:

  • In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.

  • Achieve significant improvement in the lives of at least 100 million slum dwellers.

  • Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger

  • Achieve universal primary education

  • Develop a global partnership for development

  • Integrate the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programmes and reverse the loss of environmental resources.

  • Develop further an open trading and financial system that includes a commitment to good governance, development and poverty reduction -nationally and internationally.

  • Ensure that all boys and girls in developing countries complete primary school.

  • Halt and begin to reverse the spread of hiv/aids and the incidence of malaria and other major diseases.

  • Reduce by half the proportion of people without access to safe drinking water.

  • Develop decent and productive work for youth.
