Metropolitan Henry Paul 's Working Visit to Sweden
19 - 23 December 1999

Introduction
This working visit followed my working visit to Ghana.

The working visit to Ghana was to explore a broad range of Church involvement in the development field particularly in relation to Ghana's Strategic development plan, the Vision 2020.

The working visit to Sweden was to explore particular angles of Church involvement in Africa's development (in North-South relationship), particularly where rich development-traditions and resources of European historic Churches, the new thinking generating among some academics, and the dynamic churchmanship in Africa parishes meet each other, in their services that improve conditions for people in poverty and the many adults who are massively sliding into abject poverty day by day in Africa.

For this working visit, I needed a partner who could relate to both African and Swedish contexts, and could speak both English and Swedish.

The Sunday 19th December: was spent meditatively and with fellowship at the house. I had arrived the past mid-night, and needed to rest. We had fellowship with some members of the Sweden ALFA around the Word of God and objectives of the visit.
