Roots and dynamics
We
are building parts of what will shape as the Global
Black Episcopate - and shaping along their civic role
and public space.
We
are stimulating the direction of God's Church on the
earth. In this exercise, we seek to work with God's
people in the nations and their cultures.
We
are recognizing the place of House Bishops, Area Bishops,
Diocesan Bishops, and Gift-based bishops in the wider
House of God.
We
are looking to apply the bishopric to build greater
interest in biblical studies at public schools and in
the urban communities, and also to influence the direction
of community-based schools, colleges, and institutional
partnerships.
We
are looking to assist Church-initiated education/training
programmes to become exciting training-ministry units
in society. We seek to support them to uphold a tested
Christian character, professional discipline, social
capacity, and a public-service direction right within
their student-life and faculty.
We
are working towards holding Apostolic Fellowships, including
Conferences of Ministers, College of Bishops, and Inter-City
Alliances of Church Ministries.
Part of social renewal
We
are looking to secure more fruitful spaces for the public
concerns of the Church to be addressed in both the community
and wider society.
We
are looking to engage Christian animators and others
engaged in the work of animating in society, towards
a shared understanding of social responsibility.
We
are looking to be an inspiration in society at large.
We will do this particularly, by helping ordinary people
to gain the skills that will help them to connect to
existing structures that can recognize and use their
gifts and talents, instead of staying bound to 'self-alienation'.
We
are looking to assist in the consolidation of indigenous
non-governmental sector development agencies. We will
do this with a particular interest in maximizing resources
and effects that build up human lives in the villages,
towns, and societies of places of acute disadvantage.
We
are rallying to establish aspects the vision of the
"Mountain of the Lord's Temple", as reflected
from Isaiah 2: 2 - 5, in various settings.
