Building our capacity to respond, contribute or lead

Our capacity building activities involve the continuous growth of our members (particularly for those with wider responsibility such as community-based Churches, local deans, special assistants, regional/area co-ordinators, and bishops) in the following areas:

Rev (Dr) John Agbenorto
Being a son of a past Salvation
Army General Secretary, Rev. John is developing an ACGB bishopric
under the urban ministry insights
of William Booth, the founder of
the Salvation Army.

Context and historic acts:

Ensure that the context is informed and understood from a historic act of God's saving grace, evidenced by a living and growing faith (in that saving grace) and manifest in a strong Church life.

Parameters

Ensure that parameters are set for the purposes of constructing well meaning partnerships, that would produce a fuller use of communal life so far obtained, a higher reach in social care or social/urban regeneration and a far-reaching stability in relationship building.

Leadership transition planning:

Ensure that the transitions within the leadership are connected to the ground level manifestations of the saving Grace of God as well as the raising of mid-level competencies (for example, managerial abilities) and a potential for further growth or development.

Community's drive:

Ensure that the community is interactive, entrepreneurial and open to higher aspirations, vast learning and self-finance.

Mentoring:

Ensure that the mentoring activity/programme offered is adequate for social renewal, and for the promotion of an explicit foundation, cause, or agenda. Also, that the aspiration/inspiration is held to a particular vision you have expounded. Important to specify the link bodies and the local/international partners your mentoring programme connects.
